Filmed the second part of the music video for your future lovers using the lovely panasonic gh3 and my all time favorite lens, the leica r 50mm.

Here's the result of the side by side gopros capturing time lapse. Created a very interesting look and allows for a sort of panoramic feel without having to crop the 4:3 time lapse images. Edited in FCP X in 2k.

Trying to see if I can combine the time lapse images from these 2 GoPro 3 black editions to create a long anamorphic time lapse. Let the experimenting begin.

Happened to be running more GoPro 3 black time lapse tests on an evening with gorgeous red skies. I'm still unhappy with the firmware and instability and short battery life of this camera, even with the attached battery bacpac. But when it works, it works wonderfully!

Spent the day yesterday directing and filming a new music video for the band "Your Future Lovers" with the Panasonic GH3 and 2 GoPro 3 Blacks. Although the GoPros are still plagued with issues, they really allow some great versatility. Here are a couple of screenshots using the gopro at various angles:

Yesterday turned out to be a gorgeous and stormy day in Southern California. So I set up 2 gopro 3 black editions on top of a high rise to capture the brilliant colors and fast moving clouds in the sky. I currently have a love hate relationship with my gopro 3's. When they work, they get great results, but the battery life sucks even with the battery bacpac attachment and the cameras in general are way less stable than their older brothers.
